I THINK THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE TO HANG OUT AFTER WORK TO MISS RUSH HOUR - THE DRINKS ARE AFFORDABLE AND THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD; I LIKE THE CUTE BLOND BARTENDERS. IT IS ON THE WAY HOME. RIGHT OFF THE GLENN - EASY IN AND OUT... RIGHT ON!
I went to the Whaler on Muldoon (behind Brown Jug) on Thursday and had lunch with some construction co-workers. The food there is awesome and the bartender was really nice, not to mention cute as heck! I did not know that the Whaler had food like that! We are working on Sports Authority by Target and this place was close by and really good!
The new menu @ The Whaler is excellent! Great service and a fun atmosphere! The music rocks too!

Way To Go Whaler!
I heard the Whaler (on Muldoon) has a new manager so I stopped by and the place is really getting cleaned up! They have fixed up the outside so it looks really nice when you pull up front! They also have some new bartenders that are really friendly. I was told that there is going to be live music there again on Friday nights! Yippee!

Love the new outdoor boardwalk. The new bartenders are great! And you get a HUGE delicious burger for only $7.50. I don't think you can beat that anywhere! Yummy!

The food is so yummy, I love the Calamari and the Polo Del Sol, they have real mashed potatoes, hand breaded halibut and cod, the best burger I have had including the Longbranch (try the Blue Whaler Burger) homemade soups everyday - yes, awesome! It's just a fun place to hang out; quiet durning the day and at dinner but tons of fun and noise on Football, Poker and Band nights! Can't think of a better spot within miles...

It's on Muldoon, right off the highway, so when traffic is snarled, it's a great place to pass some time... They also have local bands every weeekend - an awesome cross section of Anchorage's talent. It is a must see!
